Children and Libraries: The Journal of ALSC

In line with the reunification of ALSC and YALSA, a new quarterly journal will launch in Spring 2028, focusing on the professional development needs and interests of library workers serving patrons ages 0 to 18 and their families.

Children and Libraries (CAL) will be retired at the end of the year. The final issue will be Winter 2026 (V24, n4), released in December 2026. Throughout 2027, as the new publication is developed, stand-alone articles will be delivered to members intermittently.

Archived issues of CAL will remain available online via Open Journal Systems.
