Supporting Your Early Literacy Services With the Bell Awards

Thursday, 9/19/2024 | 1:00pm - 4:00pm | Hilton Denver City Center, Denver, CO
Price: ALSC Members: $79 | Other Registrants $94

A working knowledge of early literacy concepts, skills, and practices remains a foundational competency for children’s librarians, yet the time and resources available for ongoing training are often limited. If you are looking for a resource to support your work with young children and their families, the CLEL Bell Picture Book Awards can help! In this half-day session, participants will hear from current and past Bell Award Selection Committee members and chairs, participate in paired and small group discussion, and have ample opportunity for hands-on practice using Bells resources to connect books and activities with literacy skills and messages.
Instructors: Melissa Depper, Kimberly Powers

Registration for Preconferences is available on the registration page for National Institute. If you have already registered for National Institute and would like to add a preconference, please contact Sarah Polen at the ALSC office.
