Description of Program: Día de Los Niños- translated to Children’s Day- is an annual tradition based on Mexico’s children’s day celebrated on April 30th every year. Children's Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children, whose date of observance varies by country. Libraries across the nation have taken Mexico’s children’s day and turned it into a mixed event celebrating children and literature with the purpose to encourage literacy through diverse books and languages. The festivities will include a Spanish/English bilingual Storytime, book giveaway, resource fair, and activities for the whole family.
