ALSC Conferences and Continuing Education

The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is the world's largest association dedicated to the support and enhancement of library service to children.

ALSC is committed to creating quality continuing education experiences, both in-person and online, that cover best practices for individuals serving libraries and families; early literacy initiatives and programming; and more. Our major conferences, institutes, and special events also highlight the voices of leading and up-and-coming children's book creators, thought leaders in literacy and education, and more.

All continuing education programming is guided by the ALSC Core Competencies for Librarians Serving Children, which is the foundational professional document for librarians serving children and families in their community, and committees of ALSC members to ensure quality, timeliness, and relevance for those serving children and families in libraries.
