Prange Collection, University of Maryland Libraries, and reprinted with permission. The Prange Collection consists of materials published in Japan during the early U.S. Occupation from 1945 to 1949, when all printed materials were submitted to the Civil Censorship Detachment (CCD), an operating unit of Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers (SCAP).
