Join ALCTS on Friday January 8, 2016 at ALA Midwinter as we tour the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) in Andover, MA. Advance registration is required.
NEDCC is hosting a tour of their facilities on January 8, 2016, during the ALA Midwinter Meeting. Comfortable (and warm!) bus transportation will be provided from the Boston Convention Center to Andover and back (approximately 35 minutes each way). Seats are limited to 50 people.
NEDCC staff will provide a guided tour of the Paper and Photograph Conservation Laboratory, the Book Conservation Laboratory, and the Digital Imaging and Audio Preservation Studios. Conservators and photographers will display and discuss some of the Center’s current projects and you’ll see a wide range of unique collection materials that may include maps, photographs, scrapbooks, manuscripts, parchment, rare books, and works of art on paper. Questions are encouraged and always results in interesting discussion!
