Why ALCTS? – Midwinter Video Testimonials at ALCTSfest
The ALCTS New Members Interest Group, along with the ALCTS board, would like to hear from you. This year at ALA Midwinter in Boston, we will be filming member testimonials to hear what this community means to you. Please let us know if you are interested in sharing your thoughts on camera for 1-2 minutes. These videos will be hosted online and used to spread the word about what an amazing community this is! So please come, share your experience, and let us know – Why ALCTS?
Please sign up in advance. If you have any questions please contact ANMIG co-chairs – Alissa Hafele and Hayley Moreno.
ALCTS Forum: Mashcat Panel
Library cataloging and metadata people and library software and systems people have a lot in common and a lot to collaborate together on to better serve our patrons… but sometimes there have been barriers to that collaboration. Mashcat is a banner under which libraries can gather together to work past those barriers. For the ALCTS Forum, Mashcat regulars Erin Leach, Galen Charlton, Shana McDanold, and others will participate in a panel discussion moderated by ALCTS president Norm Medeiros. They will discuss ways of fostering collaboration and communication between the data and systems sides of the house.
Monday 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., BCEC Room 204AB
