How can we as catalogers and metadata specialists use our skills to increase our libraries’ presence on the web? Based on his Library Technology Report, Ted Fons will discuss ways in which we can expose our services and content on the open web right now, meeting our users where they are. A panel of librarians will share their first-hand experiences implementing the concepts and ideas discussed by Ted. Come with questions, leave with ideas.

  • A broad and dynamic view of linked data and its role in the success and evolution of libraries
  • An understanding of how the everyday work of catalogers and metadata specialists impact for the users’ experience
