Unfortunately, it hasn’t been easy to calculate how much your university is spending on Open Access.

Presenter

Dr. Heather Piwowar is a co-founder of Our Research, the nonprofit behind Unpaywall. Unpaywall powers the Open Access links in major discovery systems (Scopus, Web of Science) and the free browser extension used by more than 250,000 people worldwide. Heather got her bachelors and masters at MIT, worked as a computer programmer for 10 years, went back to school for her Ph.D, and has been an advocate for open science ever since.
