ALA Washington Office Events at Annual 2007

  • Witness the Parade of Bookmobiles around the National Mall, featuring over 100 of these beloved libraries on wheels!

  • Join hundreds of fellow attendees for the rare opportunity to show the value of libraries to the Members of Congress. Buses will take participants to Capitol Hill in the afternoon to visit your Members' offices with your colleagues.

  • Displays will be set up around the Halls of Congress showcasing the importance of each type of library and services they provide. Handouts, perfect for educating Members on the impact libraries have on people's lives, will be provided.

  • Former Chief Judge of the FISA Court Royce Lamberth will conduct a dialog on the workings of the FISA Court.
