The WNBA-Ann Heidbreder Eastman Grant helps provide funds for a librarian to take a course or to participate in an intensive institute devoted to aspects of publishing as a profession, or to provide reimbursement for such study completed within the past year.

The Carnegie-Whitney Grant provides grants for the preparation and publication of popular or scholarly reading lists, indexes, and other guides to library resources that will be useful to users of all types of libraries.
