Preliminary Conference Programs by Track

Information on the Conference Within a Conference!
The 2-day Conference for Library Support Staff


Advance Registration is now closed. You will need to register onsite for the Conference or Special Events.

Onsite registration will open on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 7:30am. Registration will be located in the South Bldg. Hall A1 at McCormick Place Convention Center. Photo ID is required.

Registrations hours are:
Thursday, June 23 - Friday, June 24: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday, June 25 - Monday, June 27: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday, June 26: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

Satellite Registration will be available at the Palmer House Hilton and the Sheraton Hotel, for pick-up of conference materials only. Changes, ticket purchases or new badges must be done at Main Registration in the Convention Center. Satellite regsitration will be available Thursday and Friday, 7:30 am - 7:30 pm.

What Do You Get With Your Registration?

Included in your full conference registration is the following:
- The Opening General Session
- President’s Program
- All meetings and educational programs
- Entrance to "The Stacks," the World’s #1 Library Tradeshow Exhibits
- The Auditorium Speaker Series
- The Closing Session

The Exhibits Only Registration includes only entrance to the exhibits for all four days. The Exhibits Plus Registration includes entrance to the exhibits for all four days, plus entrance to the Opening General Session.

Exhibit Only Registration

Visit the exhibits only, for $25. An exhibits only pass is good for all 4 days of the exhibits (Saturday-Tuesday). An exhibits plus pass is available for $35, and includes the Opening General Session.

Exhibit only and plus badges will be available on site. No refunds for Exhibits Only or Plus registration.

Confirmations

The ALA Registration office will e-mail or mail a registration confirmation to all registered attendees. If you do not receive a written confirmation within three weeks, please call ALA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-545-2433 to verify your registration status.

Badges

If registration is received by the advance registration deadline, your badge will be mailed to you no later than two weeks before the conference.

Badges will not be sent to countries other than the U.S. and Canada. Residents of other nations may pick up badges at the Advance Registration Desk in the McCormick Place Convention Center.

Refunds and Cancellations

Substitutions are welcome at any time. Otherwise, registration cancellations must be made in writing and postmarked or faxed by the advance registration deadline. Cancellations of Conference or Preconference registration will result in a full refund less a $25 processing fee. Meal Functions or Other Events may be cancelled in writing by the advance registration deadline with no penalty. No phone cancellations will be accepted. No refunds for cancellations postmarked after the advance registration deadline. No "Exhibits Only" or "Exhibits Plus" refunds. Refunds will be processed after the Annual Conference. Refunds will be processed after July 1, 2005, please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your check.

Children’s Policy

Strollers are permitted on the exhibit floor, but only if there is a child in them at all times. Unescorted children are not permitted on the exhibit floor. Children under the age of five must be restrained at all times (stroller, back pack, etc.). Any child over the age of five must have an exhibits only badge to be admitted to the exhibit floor. These badges are available at onsite registration for $25. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 16.
