Banned Books Week 2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the yearly celebration of the freedom to read. Many libraries, bookstores, schools, etc, have honored this week by displaying banned/censored books, hosting read-outs, and more. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, the ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom coordinated the 50 State Salute to Banned Books Week.
