IS Virtual Engagement Committee

Charge

The committee will serve as a central hub for fostering virtual discussions within the Instruction Section. This will involve:

  • Coordinating and promoting virtual events related to current instruction topics.
  • Providing support to other IS committees in organizing their virtual events.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive Best Practices Guide for facilitating effective virtual discussions.

The committee will be responsible for organizing and executing one annual virtual event. This will involve a comprehensive process, including:

  • Continuously refining proposal evaluation criteria.
  • Issuing an open call for proposals.
  • Reviewing and selecting a proposal for discussion.
  • Communicating decisions to all applicants.
  • Providing necessary guidance and support to event stakeholders.
  • Ensuring timely creation and distribution of event digests.
