I value the opportunity to connect and work with colleagues from across the nation. I have gained great friendships and insights from these opportunities.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

I try to open student and faculty eyes to possibilities they didn't see before. I show new ways to think and share information.

In your own words

Being a librarian is truly my calling. I work at a community college where the majority of the students are from minority backgrounds. The assistance I provide each day is meaningful, but the impact I have made has been immeasurable and is the greatest gift I could ask for.
