What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

I am reading "The Personal Librarian" by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.

Describe ACRL in three words:

Collaboration, supportive, engaging.

What do you value about ACRL?

ACRL is invaluable as it provides an opportunity for collaboration with colleagues, programming, a wealth of support and information, numerous professional development opportunities, the listservs and publications are constantly addressing new and interesting ways to approach our work.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

As the Collection Services Librarian, I am responsible for developing, managing, and evaluating a balanced library collection with prudent acquisition of materials within budget. And keep abreast of changing demands and work with other librarians and staff in assessing library's collection needs.

In your own words

The best part about being a Collection Services Librarian is working with faculty, staff and students in assessing the library collection development process to ensure that collections meet curricular and assignment needs. I enjoy working on monthly order reports, creating data visualization of new acquisitions using Tableau. I’ve created an informational acquisitions procedure LibGuide to assist librarian selectors and users on how library acquisitions works.
