What do you value about ACRL?

I value the professional community. I especially value the free professional development opportunities. I’ve attended so many webinars and trainings lead by ACRL committees that have genuinely impacted my career development as a new librarian.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

My contribution to my campus community presents in many ways, such as through reference instruction at the library, collection development and my subject liaison duties behind the scenes. However, I want to highlight my instruction contributions. I teach information literacy classes. I find so much joy in connecting and interacting with our students. Information literacy knowledge is a critical tool that supports lifelong learning development.
