Describe yourself in three words:

Perfectionist, curious, kind.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

I just finished T. Kingfisher's Swordheart, which I absolutely loved and devoured. As an aside, I've been working with a few researchers writing novels lately and I am constantly reminded how library workers support creativity.

Describe ACRL in three words:

Connection, support, progressive.

What do you value about ACRL?

I particularly appreciate the resources that ACRL has connected me to including the opportunity to form relationships with colleagues across the country, the opportunity to learn from others and influence guidelines created through the Diversity Team, and for the access to conferences and current trends in library and archives work.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

I am a current MLIS student and I am so excited to continue my education in library science after earning my Master's in Museum Studies so I am not yet a full-fledged librarian! At the moment, I assist students with their reference questions and work with them to strengthen their own research skills. I also support the work of professors by assisting with class sessions on primary sources and by connecting them to our collections for their own personal research projects. I also love supporting my student workers at Special Collections by connecting them to professional development opportunities.

In your own words

I think radical kindness for our researchers, our colleagues, and ourselves has never been more important.
