What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

I am currently traveling and listening to both fiction and non-fiction audio books. I recently finished The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese, which was a compelling story I would highly recommend.

What do you value about ACRL?

I value ACRL as a professional community that provides opportunities for professional librarians to connect, collaborate and learn from each other. In addition, it allows us to engage in professional development and give back to the community by serving.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

As an assessment and analytics librarian, my work helps demonstrate the libraries’ role in advancing student success and faculty research (via our services, expertise, technology, collections, and space). I’m excited to help ensure the library is a key player in campus-wide initiatives and conversations that highlight our value and impact, seeking opportunities to leverage collaboration across campus.

As an academic librarian for the past 25 years, it has been my pleasure to play a role in helping students succeed and move forward with their goals. We support a philosophy of life-long learning that spurs us to adapt, grow and thrive along with our students and faculty.
