Insightful, curious, purpose-driven.
People are often surprised to learn that I’m an avid fan of horror fiction. Stephen King ranks among my favorite authors, though I also enjoy balancing darker themes with lighter reads. Currently, I’m reading The Guest by Emma Cline.
Transformative, connector, growth.
What I value most about ACRL is its role as a launchpad for early-career librarians. It’s a space where emerging voices are not only welcomed but amplified—through mentorship, resources, and opportunities that encourage both professional confidence and community connection.
At Howard University, I’m all about building connections—connecting students with the resources they need and linking the library with departments across campus. Through engaging library instruction and enrichment opportunities, I help students develop essential skills while ensuring the library is seamlessly integrated into academic life. My goal is to ensure every student feels supported and empowered, and every department understands how the library can enhance their work.
Being a librarian is a constantly evolving experience. Every day, I get to help students and faculty navigate the world of information, whether it's finding the right resources or sparking new ideas. It’s not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. I love that my role allows me to connect people to the resources they need and help shape their academic journeys in ways big and small.
