Describe yourself in three words:

Curious, creative, conscientious.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

I'm currently reading "The Midnight Bargain" by C.L.Polk & "Dandy Style: 250 Years of British Men's Fashion" edited by Shaun Cole and Miles Lambert.

Describe ACRL in three words:

Collegial, educational, motivational.

What do you value about ACRL?

I value the exposure to academic librarians outside of my discipline. I gain practical strategies for meeting user needs and a broad perspective on how we are all responding to the current cultural moment, providing context for my own work. ACRL also offers terrific learning opportunities to help me stay informed and inspired.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

Through instruction and outreach, I work with faculty and students to support their creative research. I'm in a unique position to facilitate collaboration within and outside of VCUarts, acting as connective tissue between the art school, resources in the library, and beyond.

In your own words

I meet a diverse array of people, and I'm constantly challenged to learn new things and keep an open mind.
