Considering a New Award?

Note: As of February 2026, the ACRL Board has extended a moratorium on the establishment of any new awards to June 30, 2027. Beginning July 1, 2027, the ACRL Board may consider new awards that do not overlap with existing awards. 

Except during this temporary moratorium period, any person or group inside or outside of ACRL may propose the establishment of a new ACRL award to be administered either at the division committee or section level.
