ACRL ANSS/Core M&C Committee on Cataloging: Anthropology, Sociology, and Criminology
Charge
• Advocating for improved subject access and bibliographic control for materials in anthropology, sociology, criminal justice/criminology, and related social science disciplines
• Monitoring and responding to developments in cataloging standards, subject headings, and metadata that affect social science resources
• Collaborating with relevant organizations and committees on bibliographic access issues, including the Library of Congress and other standards bodies
• Providing expertise and guidance on subject-specific cataloging and classification matters to both ACRL ANSS and Core M&C constituencies
• Developing educational programming and resources related to bibliographic access for social science materials
