To evaluate the ACRL External Liaisons Program and provide recommendations that clarify its goals, roles, and expectations; strengthen alignment with ACRL strategic priorities; and support a sustainable and effective model for liaison engagement.

Tasks
- Review the history, goals, and current structure of the External Liaisons Program
- Examine ongoing questions regarding program purpose, scope, and expectations
- Assess how liaison activities support relationships with external organizations and
contribute to ACRL strategic goals - Gather input from current and former liaisons, appointing authorities, External Liaisons
Committee members, and partner organizations through surveys, focus groups, etc. - Evaluate challenges related to role clarity, support structures, and engagement with
external associations - Develop recommendations addressing:
- Program goals and intended outcomes
- Roles and responsibilities of liaisons, appointing authorities, and external
partners - Expectations for liaison engagement
- Sustainability of the program model, including alignment of financial and
staffing resources with program goals - Support and funding structures
- Communication, coordination, and reporting mechanisms
- Approaches to assessing program impact and effectiveness
