The Women & Gender Studies Section (WGSS) of the Association of College & Research Libraries was formed to discuss, promote, and support women's studies collections and services in academic and research libraries.

Composition

As of August 2024, WGSS had 922 members. Committee composition is determined by section leadership.

Origin

The Women's Studies Section was established in 1987. In 2011, the section changed its name to Women & Gender Studies Section. At its 25th anniversary, the history of the section was presented.
