To provide a forum for discussion regarding effective communication methods and outreach initiatives, including marketing strategies and strategic relationship building, that academic and research libraries utilize to disseminate information about their value, events, services, and resources and to engage the communities they serve.

Library Marketing and Outreach IG Discussion List

As of August 2022, the LMOIG had 1,175 members. Interest Group composition includes a convener and incoming convener.

Origin

The Library Marketing and Outreach Interest Group was established at the 2014 Spring Executive Committee Meeting. The next renewal date for this interest group is the 2020 ALA Annual Conference.
