To support current and emerging leaders by fostering discussion, sharing practical resources, encouraging peer learning, and building a community of practice around leadership across the profession.

Leadership IG discussion list
This discussion list is currently hosted through ALA Connect. ALA membership is required. Origin
The ACRL Leadership Discussion Group and the ACRL Human Resources and Organizational Development Discussion Group merged to form the ACRL Leadership Interest Group, which was established by the ACRL Board at the 2026 ALA Annual Conference. The Leadership Discussion Group was originally established by the ACRL Board in 2012, and the ACRL Human Resources and Organizational Development Discussion Group was originally established by the ACRL Board in 2000.
