The History Librarians Interest Group was established by the ACRL Board of Directors at the 2017 ALA Annual Conference. As of August 2020, the HLIG has 573 members. The ACRL Board of Directors, at its June 16, 2023 ACRL Board Pre-Annual Virtual Meeting, approved the renewal of the ACRL History Librarians Interest Group for another three-year term for July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026.
