GODORT needs your help.

This is the first appeal for funds to insure a sustainable GODORT. I have made a contribution, and I hope that you will join me by contributing $100, or whatever you can, to insure that GODORT has the funds necessary to continue its work.

GODORT is ALA?s leader in government information. In order to maintain this leadership and provide programs and services, GODORT itself must be financially secure. To achieve that goal I am asking you for additional support beyond your annual dues.

Two areas that urgently need support are the Emerging Leaders Program and the W. David Rozkuszka Scholarship. The Emerging Leaders Program provides support for mentoring new librarians in ALA; the Rozkuszka Scholarship funds individuals in library school. GODORT must also raise funds to establish a GODORT endowment. Presently, the only sources of income are dues, proceeds from the GODORT Silent Auction, ?passing the hat? at GODORT meetings each conference and direct contributions from generous donors like you. However, these sources do not provide the funds needed to carry on our work. Won?t you please help?

A donation of $100, $200 or however much you can afford will fund both the Emerging Leaders program and the Rozkuska Scholarship and begin to build the GODORT endowment.
