Part of the American Library Association's Financial Learning Series
This is a Budget Analysis and Review Committee (BARC) and the ALA finance staff webcast. The purpose of this webcast is to provide you with a basic level of understanding of ALA’s Long-Term Investment Fund aka “the Endowment” and why it may be beneficial to have an endowment.
Specifically, this webcast will cover the general characteristics of an endowment, purposes for establishing an endowment, how earnings are generated, how the proceeds can be used and what’s needed to get started.
It is our hope that you will find this webcast informative.
