Charge
To advise on priorities, policies, and strategies for the Association that promote the development and utilization of electronic access to information. To provide an ongoing channel for member communication, working closely with other units, committees and officers of the Association in matters touching information technology.

Composition
The ITP Advisory Committee consists of 13 members appointed from the membership at large, serving 2-year terms and led by a committee chair serving a one year term.
As of July 1, 2026, the Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee has been discontinued as approved by the ALA Council in January 2026. For more information, read Council Document 27.
