Affiliates are separate yet aligned entities that champion common causes, expand outreach, and gain visibility.

Affiliate organizations of the American Library Association are legally separate organizations having purpose or interests similar to those of the Association.

Having found that close alliances provide strength in numbers and broaden the depth and scope of our work to support key issues in its Strategic Plan, ALA invites organizations to become ALA affiliates. Affiliating organizations work together to support common causes, expand outreach to underserved populations, diversify ALA membership, and provide benefits to all parties involved.
