Library Outreach Resources to Underserved Populations
OLOS Outreach Areas
OLOS provides resources to library and information workers who serve traditionally underrepresented groups. These groups include people of color, older adults, poor and homeless people, adult new and nonreaders, incarcerated people and exoffenders, the GLBT community, people with disabilities, people in very small and/or rural communities, native and tribal communities, and all kinds of bookmobile services.

About These Resources
We intend to include resources developed by all groups that help librarians and library workers provide better service to their constituencies. In the past, OLOS only included resources available through ALA and its units. In an effort to provide a wider range of resources, however, we expanded our lists and continue to do so.
If you have written any guidelines, tips, checklists, or other material that would be useful to our groups, please contact OLOS olos@ala.org to submit your website or electronic documents for consideration. If you know of other resources that you feel should be included here, please send your suggestions. Our lists are by no means exhaustive, and we welcome your input.
