As a benefit, YALSA offers its members free hour-long interactive sessions on the third Thursday of each month, led by a YALSA expert on important topics in youth services, including advocacy, collection development, readers'advisory, programming, technology, and more.

Young Adult Library Services is the award-winning official journal of YALSA. YALS primarily serves as a vehicle for continuing education for librarians serving young adults. YALS also serves as the official record of the organization.
