YALSA’s Young Adult Literature Symposium Stipend enables two qualified recipients to attend the symposium, which will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nov. 5-7, 2010
Student Stipend Winner
Congratulations to Jessica Levy, a graduate student at the University of California-Los Angeles' Department of Information Studies. Levy will receive up to $1,000 to attend the symposium in November.
Worker Stipend Winner
Congratulations to Emily Dezurick-Badran, an enquiry assistant at the Southend Central Library in Southend on Sea, Essex, United Kingdom. Dezurick-Badran will receive up to $1,000 to attend the symposium in November.
About the Stipends
Two stipends up to $1,000 each are awarded for each symposium: one to a library worker who works directly with young adults, with one to ten years' experience; the second is to a student enrolled in an ALA-accredited MLS program (you must be a MLS student as of Nov. 5, 2010) with a focus on serving young adults in a library setting.
