Frequent Learner Program

YALSA's Frequent Learner Program helps young adult and school librarians and library support staff maximize their professional development dollars. Individuals or groups that register for three YALSA online courses or webinars will receive complimentary registration to one additional course or webinar of equal or lesser value to the lowest cost-paid online education opportunity. Individual participation during webinars under a group registration does not accrue individual credit toward the frequent learner program. Repeat group registrations for specific entities (libraries, consortia, chapters, etc) are eligible for a complimentary group webinar registration per the aforementioned restrictions.

Enrollment in the Frequent Learner Program is automatic for all individuals and groups registering for YALSA online courses and webinars after September 1, 2011. No additional signup is required. Complimentary online education must be redeemed within 18 months of the first online course or webinar. Frequent Learner Program rewards are only redeemable for YALSA online education opportunities and have no cash value. YALSA online courses and webinars attended prior to September 1, 2011, are not eligible for the Frequent Learner Program.

To redeem your complimentary online learning course, simply call (800) 545-2433 and choose option 5 to speak with a representative from ALA Member and Customer Service.  Once your eligibility has been verified, you will be enrolled in the course of your choosing based on compliance with the aforementioned restrictions. Enrollments are non-transferable. Complimentary enrollments may only be applied to YALSA online learning events (webinars and online courses) and cannot be used toward conference sessions, preconference sessions, or other ALA division distance learning opportunities.
