YALSA has dozens of ways for its members and supporters to get involved, including many options for virtual participation. Whether you choose to volunteer to gain leadership experience, build your resume, increase exposure in the association or library community, or give back to the profession, YALSA relies on you to help support the association and make a positive difference in serving teens through libraries. Invest in your career or show your support for library services to teens and join YALSA! YALSA is a division of the American Library Association, and YALSA's goal is to make all libraries awesome for teens! Here's a quick snapshot of how we do that.
Each year YALSA offers more than $195,000 in grants and awards to members who work with or on behalf of teens. YALSA also sponsors one Spectrum Scholar and an Emerging Leader each year, using funds provided by the Friends of YALSA. YALSA members are also eligible for scholarships, awards and grants from the American Library Association.
The Members Only section is a member benefit that gives YALSA members access to content that isn't available to the general public. Access to For Members Only materials requires YALSA membership and a username and password.
