Changing Committee Charges

IF YOUR COMMITTEE WANTS TO CHANGE ITS CHARGE:

The YALSA Board of Directors approves all charges for all committees. In order to have your committee's charge changed, you must follow this procedure:

  1. Develop the new or revised charge and have your committee vote to request the change.
  2. Submit the old charge, the new charge, and a statement of rationale for the change to the Organization and Bylaws Committee. Leave the documents for the Chair of the Organization and Bylaws Committee at the YALSA office area prior to the committee's meeting times. Assign one committee member to attend the Organization and Bylaws Committee meeting to answer questions.
  3. If the Organization and Bylaws Committee approves the change, they make a recommendation to the YALSA Board of Directors. Upon approval, the changes are entered into the YALSA Roster.
