Trustee Academy

trustee academy logo The Trustee Academy is a series of online courses to help Trustees become exceptionally proficient in their roles on behalf of their libraries. All of the online courses are taught by a professional in the field and are priced both a la carte so individual attendees can pick and choose what courses are important to them, and as a full curriculum that will reflect discounted pricing per course. In addition, a board of Trustees can sign up for further discounts.

NOTE: If you are trying to access the Trustee Academy through a joint-partnership with your state library, please select the appropriate state link to proceed: IHLS, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, RAILS, South Carolina, Texas, or Utah.

What people are saying about the Trustee Academy:

“I am so pleased United for Libraries has undertaken this task -- I am chair of our state library Trustee division, and I will be recommending these courses to our members.” (Trustee Basics, Part I)

“It was a great tool especially for newer Trustees... Gave a point of conversation that will make my job easier. Many times board members do not trust what a director says, here it was in black and white from an outside source!” (Advocating for Your Library)
“This was one of the best of the Trustee Academies. Great presenter!” (Advocating for Your Library)
