Tales from a New Trustee

Dave Hargett's series "Tales from a New Trustee" ran in The Voice in 2009-2010. It aimed to both educate and entertain as Dave shared his experiences as a new library Trustee, including successes, failures and mistakes. Dave served as vice-president of Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, Ill., and a Trustee of the Prairie Area Library System (PALS) in northwest and north central Illinois. His series of columns is featured below.

Sadly, Dave passed away on Aug. 22, 2010. He was posthumously awarded the ALA Trustee Citation in 2011.
