The Friends created a one-page newsletter specifically for new homeowners in the area surrounding the Franklin Community Library. Each month over 200 are handed out directly by a cooperating business, Community Connections. Each issue features current programs and a map showing the location of the library. In 2006 10 newsletters were distributed to more than 2,000 new homeowners. A count of library customers as of mid-2006 showed a 3,000 person increase over the previous year.
