Over the years, the University of Mississippi Libraries has purchased eBooks as one-time, perpetual-access collections, individual titles, and as subscription collections. Last year, the Williams Library began a patron-driven, eBook pilot program. Using ebrary's administrative tool, profiles were created to establish two patron-driven eBook collections. The records for these two profiles were then loaded into the library catalog. As patrons triggered a purchase by using an eBook, the order and payment information was recorded and the items were added to the collection. The planning, implementation, and workflow of the patron-driven, eBook pilot program was presented.
