Public libraries are a learning center for people who need training on how to use computers and navigate the Internet. This training is increasingly essential to gain or upgrade computer knowledge for new employment opportunities. Nationally, 90% of public libraries provide formal or informal technology training to library patrons, as well as online training and one-on-one sessions by appointment.
