Online Site Support Notebook: Exhibition Support Materials
NOTE: Brochures and posters will be shipped eight weeks before the library's exhibition period, unless otherwise requested by libraries. Please use the materials request form distributed at the seminar to request materials or contact the Public Programs Administrative Assistant with questions (312-280-5045, email@example.com).
The exhibit coordinator for each library on the tour will receive in late October 2007 a copy of Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World, edited by traveling exhibit co-curator Page Talbott (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2005).
A color illustrated brochure will provide visitors to the exhibition with a summary of exhibition themes as well as a list of additional readings. Each library exhibition site may request up to 1,000 brochures. Brochure artwork will also be available online for library use.
Each host library will receive 30 copies of a special "Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World" exhibition poster. Poster artwork is also available online.
Two large nylon banners displaying the exhibition logo will travel with each copy of the exhibition. Banners have 2 1/2" pole sleeves at the top and bottom for weighting and can be used inside or outside the library. They are approximately 50" wide x 64" deep.
There is a vast selection of curriculum materials on the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary web site at www.benfranklin300.org/education.htm. Also see the programming section of this notebook for a list of web sites with curriculum materials for teachers.
