The article presents research regarding book satisfaction at the Frederick Douglass Library at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in 2007. Results indicated a low level of popularity of electronic books (eBooks) at the library, and the author reports on the efforts by librarians to increase eBook promotion and utilization. Through purchasing individual eBooks and electronic book readers (e-readers), such as electronic commerce company Amazon's Kindle Fire, bookseller Barnes & Noble's Nook, and electronics corporation Apple's iPad, patron use of eBooks has increased.
