VISITORS:Karen Liston (RSS rep to RUSA Nominating)

OBJECTIVES: The objective of the Committee is to recruit individuals for the RSS 2008 ballot for the positions of Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect and Member at Large.

SUMMARY: The Committee identified and prioritized a list of names of individuals to contact as candidates for the positions of Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect and Member at Large. We designated members to contact the first three individuals on our list.

EVALUATION: The Committee was highly effective in identifying potential candidates. All members have served for some time on RUSA committees and were aware of qualified candidates.

PROBLEMS: Last year the Committee received a number of documents, including RSS member roster, RUSA procedures for forming a ballot, and a chart of positions to be filled each year. With Cathleen Bourdon's departure, we did not receive these documents and will follow up with RUSA.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
