2000 Annual Meeting Minutes

Present: David Null, Kathy Green, Anna Donnelly, Carolyn Mulac, Rebecca Schreiner-Robles, Robert Foy, Barbara Mann, Ann Eccles, Emilie Smart, Lars Leon, Charles Dintrone, Wei Ma, Gwen Arthur, David Tyckoson, Mary Ellen Tyckoson, Juleigh Muirhead Clark, Lynn Wiley (visitor)
Agenda for today's meeting were approved.
The minutes from the Midwinter meeting (Saturday, January 15, 2000) were approved.
Barbara Mann announced that the Cooperative Reference Services Committee will be sending out a survey to find out about active cooperative services in the U.S. (copy of draft attached). No funding is needed from MOUSS.
Barbara D'Angelo was not present, so there was no discussion on the website.
Program proposals for the Annual Conference 2001, San Francisco, were discussed and approved:
- Fee-based Reference Service Committee (application attached); Is there a free lunch? Impact of Technological Innovations on Library Fee Services.
- Interlibrary Loan Committee (application attached); Access for Anything - Anytime - Anyplace: Challenges in Global Resource Sharing.
- Emilie Smart, Services for an Aging Population Committee, asked to change their previously approved pre-conference into a program. It is called Cyber Seniors: the New Frontier.
- Not approved was co-sponsor with LAMA for a professional development program, Having It All: Work and Family, because no representatives from the MOUSS Professional Development Committee were present and apparently no members came to the committee meeting which was to be held on the morning of July 8.
A request from Eric Novotny was conveyed by David Null that the name of the Evaluation of Reference and Adult Services Committee be altered to the Evaluation of Reference and User Services Committee. This was approved.
There is an opening for a one year term for Member At Large. John Hepner will be asked to fill that term
Program announcements were made for the Management of Reference and the Services to Adults Committees which will be taking place in the next few days.
