New RUSA Update Editors

Welcome New Editors of RUSA Update!

Please join us in welcoming Elizabeth Stephan and Emily Ford as the new co-editors for RUSA Update.

Elizabeth Stephan has been the Librarian for the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University since 2008. She earned her MA in LIS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 and prior to WWU, she was Business Reference Librarian at the University of Mississippi. While at Mississippi, she was editor of Mississippi Libraries, the publication for the Mississippi Library Association for three years. She has been published in the Journal of Academic Librarianship, College & Undergraduate Libraries, and Music References Quarterly. Recently she contributed to writing and publishing The Librarian's Handbook from ALA. Stephan has been a member of ALA since 2003 and has been active in RUSA as a member of BRASS. While in BRASS she has served on the Business Reference in Academic Libraries Committee, BRASS Publications, and was editor for BRASS Notes. Currently, she is the BRASS representative on the RUSA Publications and Communications Committee.)

In 2007 Emily Ford graduated with an MLS and an MIS from Indiana University Bloomington's School of Library and Information Science dual degree program. She currently works as a Reference Librarian at Oregon Health & Science University Library in Portland, Oregon. Previous to this position she was Project Director for for Oregon Health Go Local. Emily first became involved in ALA and RUSA as an ALA Emerging Leader, class of 2008. In addition to her position as RUSA Update co-editor she serves on a number of ALA committees including the Young Librarians Working Group and the Washington Office Copyright Subcommittee.
