To develop, review, and recommend to the RSS Executive Committee policies for the RSS Website. To recommend editorial or structural guidelines for the RSS Website. To provide advice to the RSS Webmaster responsible for implementing such policies and guidelines. To provide an ongoing channel for member communication by working closely with RSS committees and discussion groups. To make recommendations concerning technical issues or changes to the RSS Website, including evaluating, testing, and implementing Web-based products and services used by RSS members or by the public. To advise RSS on priorities and strategies that promote utilization and continued development of the RSS Website.

ALA values committed and active committee members. Qualified members are welcome to volunteer to serve on the committee. Committee members must have an interest in the work of the committee; be able to attend Annual Conferences and Midwinter Meetings to participate in the meetings and activities of the committee; and be able to work between conferences via e-mail and ALA Connect. Express your interest in serving on this or other committees by filling out an application form. Appointments take place once a year, during the spring. Committee service usually begins following Annual Conference, about July 1.
