ALA Professional Ethics CommitteeCommittee ChargeThe Council Committee on Professional Ethics shall augment the ALA Code of Ethics by explanatory interpretations and additional statements, prepared by the committee or elicited from other units of ALA, and shall review and approve proposed statements on ethical issues before adoption by the originating units or committees to ensure consistency with the ALA Code of Ethics
